PARK CITY'S GATHER EARNS ALL-STATE FOOTBALL HONORS
Rylan Gauthier, a Park City senior, has received one of the highest honors available to Montana high school football players.
The 8-man southern division football All-Conference selections were announced this week, and several Stillwater players were honored.
The Reed Point-Rapelje Renegades put up quite a fight last week in Laurel.
In the end, though, the team fell short in the divisional tournament, failing to punch a ticket to state.
The volleyball postseason was in full swing last week as teams from across the county battled at district tournaments to earn a place at divisionals. Stillwater teams saw mixed results.
It’s that time of year again.
All of the hard work put in by high school volleyball players across the county has been for this week – the beginning of the post-season.
When an undefeated team faces an opponent with a 2-4 record, an outcome that involves a very high, lopsided score may seem inevitable.
The Renegades are undefeated in conference play no longer.
The Columbus Cougars had a good week last week, winning two of three matches.
On Tuesday, Columbus beat Absarokee in four sets.
Nothing was going to ruin Absarokee’s homecoming. Not the constant, mist-like rain, not the 37 degree weather, and certainly not the Broadview-Lavina Pirates.
The Park City volleyball team added another conference win last Thursday with a decisive three set victory over Fromberg.
