Absarokee's Emma Chandler

Strong Class C Stillwater track & field contingent state-bound

Stillwater County will be well represented at the upcoming State C track and field meet.
Park City’s Rayna Laasko and Shelby Branstetter each followed up their district championships with divisional titles in the 100 hurdles and the 300 hurdles respectively.
Also adding divisional titles to their district titles were Park City’s Cara Grewell in the shot put, teammate Connor May in the javelin and Reed Point-Rapelje’s Jordan Marsh in the discus.
Other divisional winners who advance to state included Park City’s Brandon Flemmer in the 800
Absarokee’s Rebecka Lester in pole vault the Absarokee boys’ 400 relay team.

Flemmer also took second in the 1600 last weekend, advancing him to state in that event.
Laasko will be busy at state competing in three events with runner-up finishes in the long jump and javelin. Teammate Mackinzie Verke advances to state with a runner-up place at divisionals in the triple jump while Cara Grewell advances with a second place in the discus.
Absarokee
Emma Chandler will compete in three events at state after notching runner-up finishes in the 400, 800 and pole vault. Rily Livingston was second in the high jump, as was the boys’ 1600 relay team.

RPR
Marsh will also compete at state in the shot put while teammates Miranda Youngren advances in the high jump and triple jump. Brianna Krieger will compete in the 3200, as will as the girls’ 400 relay team.
The top five finishers in each event advanace to state.
