Park City splits matches

The home crowd in Park City was treated to an exciting back-and-forth match-up between the Park City Panthers and the Harlowton Engineers on Oct. 13.
The Panthers started out strong in the first set but struggled after that, losing to the Engineers 22-25, 25-23, 25-20, 13-25, 15-12.
The statistics don’t tell the story. Park City posted more kills, 47-41, led by seniors Tehya Ray with 13 and Shelby Kluth with 12.
The Panthers also led in blocks, 8-7, led by senior Shelby Branstetter with four and Ray with three, and they led in aces, 7-4, led by Ray, Kluth and senior Breanna Anderson each with two.
The Panthers played the Reed Point-Rapelje Renegades at home on Saturday, Oct. 15, taking that match after five sets – 16-25, 26-24, 25-20, 19-25, 15-13.
Ray led with 18 kills and 25 digs while Anderson added eight aces and 16 assists.
Next up is a game in Absarokee against the Huskies on Thursday, Oct. 20. This is the last game of the season. The District 4C tournament will take place in Absarokee on Oct. 27-29.
