Cougar boys 1st, Panther girls 2nd

The Columbus boys took first place as a team at the Park City-Absarokee track meet held at Columbus High School on April 15. Teams came from Park City, Absarokee, Reed Point-Rapelje, Custer-Hysham, Roberts, Broadview-Lavina, Bridger, Ryegate, Melstone, Winnett-Grass Range, Fromberg, Moore and Lodge Grass.
The Cougar boys were led by Michael Jacobson who took first in the 110 meter hurdles at 16.56 and first in the 300 meter hurdles at 44.70. The 4-by-400 relay team took first at 4:02.69, and the 4-by-100 relay team took second at 49.63.
Colton Getz took third in the 100 meters at 12.10 and fourth in the 200 meters at 25.26. Kaden Zeigler took fourth in the 110 meter hurdles at 19.40 and fourth in the 300 meter hurdles at 52.34.
Elija Daniels took second in the long jump at 19 feet 5 inches. Zach Sutton took third in the shot put at 36 feet 2 ¼ inches and third in the discus at 108 feet 2 inches. Nathan Hollar took fourth in the pole vault at 8 feet 6 inches. Connor Goddard took sixth in the long jump at 16 feet 10 ¾ inches.
• The Cougar girls took eighth. Jessica Valdez took fourth in the 100 meters at 14.24 and fourth in the 200 meters at 31.08. Josie Lee took sixth in the 1,600 meters at 7:05.81.
Megan Rouane took third in the discus at 89 feet, sixth in the shot put at 26 feet 9 inches and sixth in the javelin at 83 feet 1 inch. Camryn Ault took fourth in the pole vault at 6 feet 6 inches.
• The Park City girls took second as a team. They were led by Cara Grewell, who took first in the shot put at 33 feet 9 inches, first in the discus at 101 feet 2 inches and third in the javelin at 87 feet 5 inches.
The 4-by-100 relay team took first at 56.10, and the 4-by-400 relay team took second at 4:51.39.
Rayna Laasko took first in the 100 meter hurdles and fifth in the high jump at 4 feet 5 inches. Shelby Branstetter took second in the 100 meter hurdles at 17.95 and second in the 300 meter hurdles at 53.59. Andee Baker took second in the 100 meters at 14.13 and third in the 200 meters at 30.47.
MacKinzie Verke took third in the long jump at 14 feet 10 inches, third in the triple jump at 31 feet 3 ½ inches and sixth in the high jump at 4 feet 3 inches. Brittany Frank took fourth in the 800 meters at 3:05.28 and second in the javelin at 88 feet 1 inch.
• The Panther boys took third as a team. They were led by Devon Dennis, who took first in the 100 meters at 11.70 and first in the 200 meters at 24.43.
The 4-by-100 meter relay team took first at 48.57. Connor May took first in the javelin at 144 feet and fifth in the 100 meters at 12.31.
Connor McNeil took third in the 110 meter hurdles at 18.02 and third in the javelin at 141 feet 9 inches. Brandon Flemmer took second in the 800 meters at 2:21.76, Rylan Gauthier took fourth in the triple jump at 37 feet 5 ½ inches, and Tyler Miller took fifth in the shot put at 33 feet 5 ½ inches
• The Absarokee girls took third place as a team. Emma Chandler took first in the pole vault at 7 feet 6 inches and second in the 800 meters at 2:41.46. Lauren Milliken took third in the 1,600 meters at 6:41.50 and third in the 3,200 meters at 14:09.91.
Katrina Feddes took second in the shot put at 32 feet 2 inches and fifth in the discus at 81 feet 4 inches. The 4-by-100 relay team took third at 59.11, and the 4-by-400 relay team took fourth at 4:58.02.
Rebecka Lester took second in the pole vault at 7 feet, fifth in the 200 meters at 31.35 and sixth in the 100 meters at 14.62.
• The Husky boys took 13th as a team. Kyle Kirby took sixth in the 200 meters at 26.56, Robbie Coleman took fifth in the javelin at 131 feet 6 inches, Tyler Planichek took fifth in the pole vault at 8 feet, Jake Branger took fifth in the 3,200 meters at 12:46.73, and Jonas Williams took sixth in the pole vault at 8 feet.
• The Reed Point-Rapelje boys took fifth place as a team. Jordan Marsh took first in the shot put at 42 feet 6 ½ inches and first in the discus at 146 feet 11 inches.
Will Steinfeldt took second in the 1,600 meters at 5:15.82 and fourth in the 800 meters at 2:24.42. Trevor Herzog took third in the triple jump at 37 feet 10 ½ inches and fifth in the long jump at 17 feet 11 ¼ inches.
The 4-by-400 relay team took fourth at 4:14.14. Solomon Arno took sixth in the discus at 92 feet 7 inches.
• The Renegade girls took ninth place as a team. Jocelyn Ott took second in the 200 meters at 30.09 and third in the 100 meters at 14.14. Bianey Ambriz took fifth in the 3,200 meters at 16:51.72.
• The second round of the Billings Quad track meet at Billings West High School on Tuesday, April 19, was postponed to Thursday, April 21. Park City opted not to compete on the new date as the team was scheduled to compete in the Big Timber meet in Columbus on Friday, April 22, Park City head coach Bob Hogemark said.
