CHS Speech, Drama & Debate score well at Hardin

The Columbus High School Speech, Drama and Debate Team had a successful day on Dec. 6 competing in Hardin.
Sixteen high schools from across the eastern side of the state matched wits in the Hardin Invitational, including five Class A schools and nine from Class B, according to CHS Coach Johanna Kerns. At these MHSA sanctioned events, all classes compete together; qualifying for finals via the three preliminary rounds is very challenging.
Columbus was represented in the finals by Ethan Kane, finishing first in Humorous Oral Interpretation, Ryan Koski, second in Humorous Solo, Brooke Kern and Jess Valdez, 4th in Classical Duo, Sage Livergood and Alli Onoszko, seventh in Policy Debate, and Connor Jacobs, 8th in Impromptu Speaking.
The team travels on December 13th to Billings Central for another large Invitational.
