BPA team travels to Boston

Keely Mills, Colleen Culbertson and Emma Chandler just got back from their Business Professionals of America National Leadership Conference in Boston, Mass.
The three girls previously received first place in their event, Administrative Support Team, at the state competition in March. This award allowed them to compete nationally in Boston.
On the trip to Boston, they were chaperoned by history and PE teacher Travis Frickel.
The girls traveled to Boston, ready to take home hardware. And that they did. They got on the national stage to receive their award of being in the top 10 in their competition.
While visiting Boston, they went all over the city, seeing attractions and learning more about American history.
The days were full of walking and taking the subway to the Atlantic Ocean, Fenway Park, Quincy Market, New England Aquarium, Boston Common and the Boston Public Garden. The group also took part in tours such as the Freedom Trail and a Duck Boat tour.
The competitors returned home Monday night. Their skills and knowledge earned from BPA will continue to help them as they will all attend college next year.
The girls advise other high school students to join BPA next year to possibly earn a spot in the National Convention held in Orlando, Fla.
