Absarokee Junior High and High School schedules announced

The first day of school for students at AHS is Wednesday, Aug. 24. School begins at 8:23 a.m. Monday through Friday and dismisses at 3:29 p.m. on Monday through Thursday and 2:29 p.m. on Fridays.
Please notify the office immediately to update any emergency contacts, addresses, phone numbers, vaccinations or medical conditions.
Grades 7, 8 and 9 can pay fees, pick up schedules and try lockers on Wednesday, Aug. 17, while grades 10, 11 and 12 can do the same on Thursday, Aug. 18. Any schedule changes can be made with Ms. Heard at that time, or during the first two days of school. The office will be closed Friday, Aug. 19, as well as during PIR days on Aug. 22 and 23.
Fees can be paid at any time beginning immediately and may consist of the following:
•Activity Tickets: $25 (K-8), $30 (9-12)
•Athletic Fees: $30 (9-12), $25 (5-8)
•Lunch Tickets: $50/20 meals (7-12), $45/20 meals (K-6)
•Breakfast: $25/20 meals
•Band Rental: $50 per year for horns, $25 per year for percussion
•Drivers Ed: $200
•Yearbooks: $35

During the first day of school, each teacher will inform students what supplies they will need. Bring notebooks and pens/pencils to start. Elementary school supplies list will be sent home the beginning of August. If you have any questions about school policies and procedures, the student handbook can be accessed through the school website at www.absarokee.k12.mt.us.
Athletes in grades 5th through 12th must have sports physicals documented before they will be allowed to practice. High school football and volleyball practice begins Aug. 12. Middle school football (grades 6-8) will start practice on Aug. 15 at 4 p.m. and 5th graders will start on Aug. 24 at 4 p.m. Middle school volleyball (grdes 5-8) will begin practice on Aug. 22 at 4:30 p.m. in the elementary gym.
Parents and fans can purchase an All-Season Activity Pass for $75 for attending all home games. Senior Citizens (60+) can get an All Season Activity Pass for $40 for home games.

School pictures will be taken Friday, Sept. 15 by LifeTouch Studios.

IMMUNIZATIONS
Incoming 7th graders and any new students who were not up-to-date with immunizations have been sent a letter requiring certain vaccinations. These must be complied with before you will be allowed to enroll. A Religious Exemption form may be filed in the office, if needed.

SUBSTITUTES
Substitutes are always needed at the elementary, junior high and high schools. If you are interested in signing up, stop in at either school and complete the paperwork needed.
