Parthe

Randy Parthe passed away on July 1, 2017, at his home in Nye, after a long illness. He was 71 years old. Randy was born in New York and lived for many years in Southern California, before moving to Montana. While attending Montana State University in 1963, he fell in love with the West and traveled extensively over the decades.
In 2002, his dream of owning a cabin in Montana came true, when he built his home in Nye. He moved here permanently with his wife, Maria, in 2007.
Randy’s passion for the outdoors inspired his career in photography. His line of greeting cards, movies, and prints featuring beautiful landscapes and abundant wildlife were found in stores and shops on the California coast and in Stillwater, Sweet Grass, and Carbon counties in Montana.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Parthe; his sons, Randy Jr. and Kevin Parthe of Chicago; his sister, Daryl Brandino; and brother-in-law, Tony Brandino, of Irvine, Calif.
