Robuck
Charles C. Robuck Sr. passed away in the early hours of Friday morning. He went peacefully with his wife, Earlene, who said she would wait for him. This is the way Dad wanted to go so nobody would make a fuss over him.
Charles was a very ambitious person who was never afraid to take on a challenge. He farmed and ranched most of his life. He grew up in Rapelje with one brother and four sisters. He joined the United States Army in 1968 and served his country until his honorable discharge in 1971. Charles worked for Riverside Gravel and trucking until he retired in 2009.
Health problems really restricted Dad from doing a lot of what he liked. He moved into Beartooth Healthcare in 2015, where he met some of the most amazing people. Pinochle was his favorite card game to play and he would gather people up to play at least twice a day, he especially loved pinochle nights when the community joined in. Bingo was another game that he loved and played it quite often.
Camping with the family was a yearly tradition. Going fishing and camping for one to two weeks at a time was always something to look forward to. Dad was the main cook, no questions asked or comments were made.
On Oct. 20, 1969, Charles married the love of his life, Earlene Bettis. From this union they had four children together, Clayton, Gina, Christy and Steven.
Charles is preceded in death by his wife, Earlene and his father, Robert Robuck Sr.
Charles is survived by his four children Clayton Robuck (Marissa), Gina Olson (Ron), Christy Robuck and Steven Robuck; Grandchildren Kristopher, Erica and Julia Robuck; Devin and Heather Olson; Zakeri and Jezebel Robuck. Charles is also survived by his mom Arleeta, brother Martin Robuck, (Rhonda), sisters Roberta Marsh (George), Gloria Riddle (Lonnie), Vickie Wheeler (Rick) and Marlene Wren (Ovid).
The funeral services will be held at the LDS Chapel in Absarokee at 10 am. on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016, and a military ceremony will held at the Mountainview Cemetery in Columbus with a reception at the Columbus Senior Center to follow.
Both the remains of Charles and Earlene will be buried together on this day.
