Masse

Peter Frances Masse Jr. went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at 3:25 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016, and to be reunited with the love of his life, his wife Mae. He was 83.
Peter was born in Brooklyn, N.Y, on Dec. 30, 1932, to Peter Frances Masse Sr. and Alice Margaret Sheil Masse. He was the youngest of four and the only boy. He had three older sisters, Jean, Alice, and Margaret.
On Feb. 7, 1959, Pete married the love of his life, Alta Mae Mus.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters and his wife.
He is survived by his children: Kelly (Ron) Copeland of Billings, Alice (Steve) Mohror of Minneapolis, Margaret (Tom) Geary of Miles City, Peter (Coreene) Masse of Bozeman, and grandchildren: Hugh (Lydia), Ellen, Sam and Kevin Geary, Phoebe Mohror, Isamel, Alex, Gage and Madison Masse, and many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
The Masse family wishes to thank Terri Eberle, his in-home caregiver, Tess and Glenn Shipp and everyone at Shipp’s Assisted Living in Absarokee, the medical staff at Stillwater Billings Clinic, and the staff at Brookdale Springmeadows in Bozeman, for their excellent love and care of our Dad.
We would also like to thank all of Dad’s friends and neighbors for everything you have done for him over the years.
A celebration of his life was held Oct. 4 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Absarokee, Mont.
In lieu of flowers, donations and memorials may be given to the charity of your choice.
Cremation has taken place and a private family scattering of Pete and Mae’s ashes will take place at their ranch.
