Curtis Lora Griffith, 76, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017, at his home in Deming, N.M.
Born Aug. 13, 1940, in Howe, Okla., Curtis was the middle son of the late, James Lora Griffith and Jewel Faye Bowles.
Survivors include two sons, Curtis Griffith of Bakersfield, Calif., and Clinton Griffith of Broken Arrow, Okla.; Five daughters, Lora Dunn of Magnolia, Ark., Christa Griffith of Silver Peak, Nev., Kilah Griffith of Lewistown, Mont., Colleen Jasmann of Absarokee, Mont., and Kelly Scoccia of Kerrville, Texas; two brothers, Raymond Griffith of Levine, Ariz., and James Griffith of Coosada, Ala.; a sister, Cleo Ortiz of San Angelo, Texas; and special friend, Leann Bearden of Big Timber, Mont.
Curtis was an underground, hard-rock miner until he became disabled in the early 1980s.
He loved to travel and few knew the road as well as he did. He will be missed.
