Boyles

Rick was born Jan. 4, 1937, to Genevieve and Phillip Boyles in Gresham, Oregon. Rick grew up in Portland, graduated from Gresham High School and joined the United States Navy. In 1954 he was stationed in Kodiak, Alaska, where he met the love of his life Marlene Rathie. They later moved to Billings, Mont., and on to Portland, Oregon where they began to raise their three kids. Then one day Rick decided Montana was where the family needed to be. Rick enjoyed a few hobbies, fishing and drinking cold beer in his garage.
He really enjoyed wood working and could make anything anyone needed. He later decided to retire in Columbus where he enjoyed working at the IGA. Rick could always make you smile with a story or a joke. Rick and Marlene (Molly) as he called her, were married 60 years this past May. Rick passed away surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Sandy Johnson. He is survived by his wife Marlene, daughters Cindy Rater (Dean), Vicki Reintsma (George) and their son Richard Boyles.
