Two new subdivision proposals submitted
Stillwater County planners recently received applications for two new subdivisions:
• A preliminary plat request for a proposed five-lot minor subdivision just outside of Columbus will go before the Columbus City-County Planning Board on Tuesday, Nov. 24, at 5:30 p.m.
Tanya and Wes House submitted their application for the Rafter H subdivision on Oct. 19. As proposed, it would create one 4.4-acre lot on Quarry Road and four 1.2-acre lots immediately to the west.
The property is located on the west side of Quarry Road near Plateau Drive and the Columbus Ditch. The property is outside the town limits, so the proposed subdivision is not required to comply with town zoning or building standards.
Preliminary plans calls for a 664-foot road running west from Quarry Road along the south side of the property to a 317-foot long cul de sac road running north between the four smaller lots.
• A preliminary plat request for a proposed two-lot minor subdivision about 1.3 miles northwest of Fishtail will go before the Stillwater County Planning Board on Wednesday, Dec. 2 starting at 7 p.m.
Dustin and Darcy Sturm submitted their application on Oct. 22. It calls for creating one 101-acre lot and one 25-acre lot on Grove Creek Road near the intersection of Hap Trees Road.
