Absarokee teen killed in single car accident

An 18-year-old Absarokee man was killed April 13 in a single vehicle rollover on Nye Road.
He has been identified as Richard Chance Campbell, according to Stillwater County Coroner Terry Nystul. Campbell graduated from Absarokee High School last year.
The accident was reported at 6:16 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, through a 911 call from a motorist who said the vehicle in front of him “jumped the road,” rolled multiple times and came to rest about 30 yards from the driving surface, according to Stillwater County Sheriff’s Office dispatch records.
Campbell was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected, said Nystul.
An EMT was on scene at the time of the 911 call and CPR was being administered. Help Flight was called, but cancelled when Campbell was determined to be deceased at the Absarokee Fire Hall, at which time the coroner was summoned, said Nystul.
MHP Trooper Todd Hagenbuch said the investigation is ongoing.
