Trump’s cabinet picks and connection to Putin show inability to unite

It has been only six weeks ago that America elected a new president. I was prepared to accept him as constitutionally elected. There was some hope in his early statement that he wanted to be the president of all the people. But no sooner was it said then Trump began naming advisors and nominees for senior administration posts that showed no indication of inclusiveness.
Now we hear of his nominee for Secretary of State. Can a man who claims he is a friend of Vladimir Putin understand the growing threat of Russia in international negotiations? Trump’s choice for attorney general is a man who has already stated his intention to prosecute and deport recent immigrants.
Senior Republican Party congressmen are taking issue with Mr. Trump’s assertion that the Russians attempted to influence our elections.

Can such a man really unify our country?
