Republicans working hard in state legislature for Stillwater Co.

I want to begin by saying thank you to the residents of House District 57 for the opportunity to represent you in the Montana State House of Representatives.
It has been an honor to represent you over the past month and I look forward to continuing the work throughout the session.
While not every bill I have introduced has been successful, I believe every one generated a good discussion and allowed for learning experiences.
As a first-term legislator I am learning valuable lessons and making connections that will help me in drafting future legislation.
Being a member of the majority Republican Party has allowed me to be involved in many important issues. The Republican Party is unified in supporting a plan to strengthen jobs and the economy, safeguard healthcare options, protect rights and individual freedoms, and put students and parents first.
With this plan in mind, the House has passed HB 166, which will lower individual income tax rates for all taxpayers, and HB 169, which will return money to the taxpayers if the state has a surplus.
We have also passed a bill allowing Montana to join a nurse licensure compact, which will enhance healthcare access to all Montanans.
Finally, we have passed bills protecting block management lands and enhancing the privacy of the press.
As always, if there is an issue that is important to you, I want to hear about it. Due to the legislative schedule, email is the best way to contact me; my address is rep.forrest.mandeville@mt.gov. I can also be contacted by phone at (406) 690-1933, but if I am in a meeting and can’t answer, please leave a message.
Again, thank you for your support and trust in allowing me to serve as your representative in Helena.

Representative Forrest J. Mandeville
House District 57 (Stillwater County and Eastern Sweet Grass County)
