Disconnection notice a matter of state law

In reference to notices received concerning Beartooth Electric threat to “disconnect” electricity which came to several people of this area, the Montana has a law that reads “Montana law has protection from Nov. l to April l. Cannot disconnect any day when the temperatures at 8 a.m. is below 32 degrees or if freezing temperatures are forecast for the next 24 hours for customers receiving public assistance or if household member is age 62 or older or disabled.”
The people I know who received this notice were all seniors, which concerned me.
