Columbus haunted house an enormous success

The Stillwater Legacy Trails would like to thank everyone for making our haunted house on Main Street an enormous success. First and foremost, thank you to Gena and Shawn Pluid of the New Atlas – the ultimate haunted location -- for graciously giving us control of their upper rooms for a month as we created our scenes. Many people shared their time and talents to create the event. While we can’t name everyone, we appreciate the volunteers who worked countless hours creating the rooms. Thank you to Kristi Kostelecky who organized those volunteers. Thank you also to Kristine Boehler (whose make-up skills were terrifyingly realistic), and the local actors and actresses, including several CHS Speech and Drama students, who added perfect spooky, undead characters.
Thanks to Guy Behrent for donating the “monster” pumpkin that weighed in at 140-pounds. We had visitors from Absarokee, Rapelje, Big Timber, Joliet, Laurel, Billings, Park City, Red Lodge, Molt and Columbus.
All money raised will go toward safe walking/biking trails in Stillwater County. Based on the screams and laughter, we believe everyone had a great time, and we’re looking forward to our second annual haunted house in 2017!
