Celebrate National Day of Prayer locally on May 5

With the current unrest in the world, today we need to unite in prayer for our country and leadership. More than ever we need the guiding hand of God to help stabilize our nation and unite us in a common bond. We desperately need God’s blessing upon our nation.
In 1775 the First Continental Congress called for a National Day of Prayer. In 1952 President Harry S. Truman signed a joint resolution of congress establishing an annual National Day of Prayer. In 1954 President Dwight D. Eisenhower authorized the addition of two powerful words to the pledge of Allegiance, “Under God” reaffirming religious faith in America’s heritage and future.
Our vision is to communicate with every family the need for prayer and to actively mobilize families into praying daily for our federal, state, county and city leadership.
National Day of Prayer seeks to promote awareness of the significance of laying aside differences and joining hearts in support of our leadership by praying for them as well as encouraging
We invite all to come and participate locally at this opportunity on May 5 at noon on the front steps of the Stillwater County courthouse. We keep this observance to 30 minutes since many join us on their lunch hour and each person’s time is precious.
