Alarmed by Trump’s reorganization of National Security Council

I am truly alarmed by President Trump’s recent re-organization of the National Security Council. Trump has included Steve Bannon, a former Breitbart News executive and Trump’s chief strategist and senior counselor, while dropping the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Director of Intelligence Services.
This should be of concern to all as this may decrease our security and does nothing to enhance it.
Bannon’s appointment is inappropriate and puzzling. What does a social media expert have to contribute to discussions of national security?
This is also a demotion of two key military and intelligence officials. If you are concerned about our national security, this re-organization is not reassuring.
