Harris

May 1, 1944 — Feb. 5, 2018

Dear world,
Yesterday, you and I lost a soul that was full of wonder, and one that will not be replaced. Taken from me was the one person who believed there was nothing I couldn’t do — he was truly the wind beneath my wings.
You, world, lost the person who tried to keep us all honest and true to ourselves…Maybe not always in the most gentle way, but honest none the same.
Kent was born May 1, 1944, to B. Meyer and Bessie Harris. His two children and stepson, along with his grandchildren, were great sources of joy.
On Dec. 24, 1990, I had the honor and privilege to marry my soulmate and best friend. The last five months of our new adventure were perfect. He loved our cozy little house, the snow and life in Red Lodge.
Kent is preceded in death by his parents, B. Meyer and Bessie Harris, and his sister-in-law Judy Harris.
He is survived with love and will be missed forever by his daughter Stephanie, Nick, Bodhi and Tenney; son Brett, Candy, Barrit, Riley and Cora; and son Gavin, Johanna, Anastasia, David and Josie; brother Joel; niece Julie Taylor and family; nephews Jay Harris and family and Jim Harris and family; and his mother-in-law Ellen Dennis.
In lieu of flowers, please take a moment to stop the rhetoric – words do matter, and be kind to each other. Memorials may be made to the Beartooth Billings Clinic Foundation.
Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, Feb. 10, at 11 a.m. at the Pollard Pub in Red Lodge.
