Journeys in Faith

Recognize this?

Where is this landmark in Stillwater County?
If you drive on I-90, these triple crosses may be found smack dab on the Yellowstone/Stillwater County line as you come from Billings.
Why am I showing this picture? First, I’m thankful the landowner placed them there (I wish I knew his name so I could shake his hand). Second, every time I see these crosses, I feel something.
I feel extremely blessed and I feel overwhelming gratitude! Not only that I live in a country where folks can freely display these iconic Christian symbols, but even more importantly, I’m reminded what Jesus did for me. While I was still a sinner, Christ died for me (Romans 5:8).
Before I repented of my sins, before I truly believed in him, even before I had a mustard seed of faith--Jesus died a BRUTAL death on a cross to make a way for me to be eternally forgiven of my sins. Not just for me, but for every person who has ever lived (even for my brother-in-law, who despises Jesus). What love has been lavished on us! (I John 3:1)
Would you please do me a favor? Please explore what the cross means for you. For the next 40 days until Easter, search for answers of how you’re supposed to respond (Jeremiah 29:13). If you need help, we have 21 churches in Stillwater County -- find one and ask for assistance. They would love to help.
By the way, when I see those three crosses, especially the yellow one in the middle, I always feel like I am close to arriving at my Stillwater County home AND my heavenly home. I like that feeling...
