Foster

Robert Eugene Knisley Foster was born in Macos, Colo., on March 4, 1948, to Dorothy Loraine Sexton and Harold Thomas Knisely.
He was raised by his mother, Dorothy, and stepfather, Forrest Darrell Foster, and has four siblings, Alecea Ann Foster, Barbara Jo Clark, Darrell Ryce Foster and Alonzo Jullian Foster.
The family eventually made their way to Ouray, Colo., where Robert graduated in 1966. After graduating high school, he began his career in hard rock mining until retiring at age 62. Robert married Phyllis Elaine Vallejos in January 1969. They had three children, Darlee Sue Jensen, Elaine Dee Berg and Robert Eugene Foster Jr. He has three grandchildren, Justin Tyler Scott, Logan Robert Berg and Allee Elaine Berg. He also has two great grandchildren, Mika Raelee Berg and Trace Eugene Berg.
Robert was preceded in death by his stepfather, Forrest Darrell Foster, sister, Alecea Foster, son, Robert Foster Jr., and wife, Phyllis Foster.
Robert Eugene Foster entered into eternal life on Feb. 9, 2018, at 1:15 a.m., and leaves behind daughters, Darlee Sue Jensen and Elaine Dee Berg, mother, Dorothy Loraine Foster, sister, Barbara Jo Clark and brothers, Darrell Ryce Foster and Alonzo Julian Foster and grandchildren and great grand children.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at Cope Memorial Chapel in Aztec, NM. Burial service followed at Aztec Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up, to help with expenses.
